The Library is your central hub for accessing all assets, blocks, and tools in Patchworld. Powered by a modern webview-based interface, it makes browsing, organizing, and spawning content fast and intuitive.
To open the Library:
- Press the Y button on your left controller
- Or press the B button on your right controller
This opens the main menu, where you can select the Library tab.
The Library uses a sidebar-based navigation system with clearly defined sections.

Featured
Curated collections of popular and recommended community content.

Published
Browse content from other creators, including:
- Recently Published, the latest community uploads
- Pinned Creators, creators you have pinned for quick access
- User Libraries and Profiles, click a user to view their assets
- For worlds, select the world icon to view their Worlds profile

My Assets
Your personal workspace, containing:
- All My Assets, everything you have created or uploaded
- My Purchases, assets you have bought
- My Likes, assets you have liked
- Spawn History, anything you have spawned (infinitely scrollable)
- Custom Folders, folders you create to organize assets

Fundamental building components for creating Devices, organized by category.

The Library uses a folder-based hierarchy:
- Click a section to expand it
- Navigate through folders to find content
- Each folder displays a grid of item thumbnails
- The search bar is located at the bottom of the interface
- Search behavior is context-aware:
- When the Library tab is selected, it searches assets, blocks, and devices
- When the Discover or Community tabs are selected, it searches worlds and users
- Results appear in a dedicated Search Results section
¶ User Profiles and Published Assets
- Click a creator’s name to open their profile
- From a user profile:
- In the native profile, select Published Assets to view their library
- In the library profile, click the world count to view their Worlds profile
- This allows seamless exploration of both assets and worlds
- A unified profile experience is currently in development
¶ Filtering and Sorting
Filter Options
- All Types (default)
- Blocks
- Devices
- Samples

Sort Options
- Default Order
- Recently Updated
- Recently Created
- Name (A–Z)
Note
Sorting is available in most views, including My Assets, Featured folders, and Search Results.
¶ Sync and Refresh
- Use the Refresh button (🔃) to update the Library
- A secondary refresh option is available in:
- Settings (gear icon) > Library > Refresh
There are three ways to spawn items into your world.
- Navigate to an item
- Trigger on its thumbnail
- Trigger again on Spawn
- The item appears at a default position
¶ Method 2: Drag and Drop
- Point at the item’s thumbnail
- Hold the Grip button
- Drag it into world space
- Release to place it
- Select multiple items using the trigger
- Trigger again on Spawn
- Items spawn in a grid pattern
¶ Drag and Drop Organization
The Library supports always-on organization.
- Grab an asset card using the grip button
- Drag it onto:
- A folder in the grid, or
- A folder in the sidebar
- Valid drop targets highlight
- Release to move the asset
- Select multiple assets before dragging
- Move entire groups at once
- Create and manage folders inside My Assets
Your unified personal content hub:
- All My Assets, everything you have created or uploaded
- My Purchases, assets you have bought
- My Likes, assets you have liked
- Spawn History, recently spawned items
- Custom Folders, folders you create for organization
Use filters to view specific content types in any subsection.
- Curated public content from the community
- Ideal for discovering new sounds, devices, and inspiration
- Content is read-only but can be spawned
- Browse assets from other creators
- Includes Recently Published content and Pinned Creators
- Click any creator to explore their assets and worlds
